Changes Are Happening
If you've already read the new post on the Ablogcalypse, you may have already figured out that I'm starting a new blog with a new pseudonym. Time is a Spiral... is going to be my new home for all the nostalgia I post about. As Anacronus, the Titan of Old School, I'll be doing all my old segments, such as Forgotten Worlds and The Kaiju Report as well as new things, like reviews of movies, TV Shows, music, etc. from the '80s and '90s. And, if I can get this project off the ground, I'll start posting videos there, too.
The idea came when a bunch of my friends decided to create a blog called Geek Streak, which is a repository for all the geek news, reviews, and random stuff you care about. When they asked me if I would like to join, I presented them with my idea and they liked it. I decided that I should create my own space for the things I post to Geek Streak and, thus, Time is a Spiral... was born.
What does this mean for my other blogs? Well, The Ablogcalypse isn't dead. I'm taking a hiatus to rethink my plan of attack. The site has long been an experimental area where I tried to get a feel for what I wanted to write about. I figure it needs a much sharper focus. Eventually, I'll come back to it with enough content to make it work on a regular basis (there's even plans of incorporating The Ablogcalypse with Geek Streak, but we'll see.).
As for this site, I'm sad to say that I am shelving this blog for good. This was a place for me to do all the things I couldn't on The Ablogcalypse, but it never really felt like a permanent home. All the segments here will be moving to Time is a Spiral... I'll keep this blog up for a few reasons: I want to repost some of the old posts onto my new site. I also want to make sure that any people who read this blog don't think that I just disappeared. Finally, there is a possibility (though infinitesimally small) that I might resurrect this site, for some other purpose. I'm not getting my hopes up, though.
